We have an exciting opportunity to join our Practice Development Team as one of four Lead Practitioners.
We are looking to recruit an experienced and inspirational Social Worker, who has a clear vision of best practice and is able to drive and meet the practice, learning and development needs of our children and families practitioners. Our Lead Practitioners play a vital role in ensuring that every member of our workforce is supported to continually grow and develop their skills and confidence so they can make a positive difference to the lives of the children and families of Solihull.
Working as part of a team our Lead Practitioners working alongside the Principal Social Worker to drive and deliver Solihull’s Relational Practice Framework ‘Connecting Families’. As a Lead Practitioner, you will use your knowledge, skills and experiences of working with children and families to connect with our workforce to create and deliver effective, relevant and accessible learning and development experiences based on a high support, high challenge mindset.
Working in partnership with Solihull Social Care Acadamy our Lead Practitioners also support and play a key role in the delivery of Solihull’s enhanced ASYE programme mentoring our Newly Qualified Social Workers.
Our Lead Practitioners directly support the delivery of our Quality Assurance Framework using the intelligence from this to plan and delivery practice improvement opportunities to ‘close the loop’ on our QA activity. This includes the identification and learning from good and excellent practice.
You will be Social Work qualified, registered with Social Work England and you will have substantial post qualifying experience of practice with children and their families.
You will also have:
Knowledge of relevant up to date relevant social work legislation, statutory guidance, theories and research and how it impacts on practice.
Excellent spoken and written communicate skills, to enable you build strong inspiring relationships with practitioners children, young people and their families / carers, as well as wider partners and voluntary agencies.
A full driving license and access to a car, though reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled applicants, where required.
